Snaplive

Privacy Policy

Effective October 10, 2026

Who we are

Snaplive is run by Velto Labs (“we”, “us”), based in New Brunswick, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (snaplive.co), the Snaplive web app (app.snaplive.co) and the Snaplive mobile app, what we do with it, and your choices. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you ask about a website. Our “Get started” form asks for your name, business name, email, phone number (optional), whether you already have a website, and a few words about your business.

When you use Snaplive. We collect:

  • your name, email address and sign-in details, and those of team members you invite;
  • information about your business and the content of your website, such as text, prices, hours, photos and logos;
  • the requests you send to Snapper, our AI assistant, and the photos you attach to them; and
  • a history of the changes you ask for, approve or discard.

Technical information. Like most websites, our servers may record basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use these to keep the Service running and secure.

Cookies

Our marketing website (snaplive.co) doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. The web app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. The mobile app stores your sign-in session on your device.

How we use your information

  • to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
  • to build, host and update your website, and to prepare and publish the changes you approve;
  • to run your account, sign you in and send service emails, such as invitations and sign-in links;
  • to bill you and keep the records the law requires;
  • to keep the Service secure and fix problems; and
  • to improve Snaplive, for example by learning which kinds of requests Snapper finds hard.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising. We only send you marketing emails if you’ve agreed to them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Snaplive. They only use your information to provide their services to us:

  • Supabase, for sign-in, our database and photo storage;
  • Anthropic, whose Claude AI powers Snapper. Your requests, the photos you attach and the relevant parts of your website are sent to Anthropic to prepare your changes. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, this content isn’t used to train its models;
  • GitHub, where the code for each website we build is stored;
  • Resend, which delivers our emails, including the enquiries sent through our form; and
  • our hosting providers, whose servers run our websites and apps.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business. If that happens, this policy will continue to protect your information.

Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When it’s there, it’s protected by our agreements with those providers, but it may be accessible to courts and authorities in those countries under their laws.

Photos and your public website

Your website is public, so anything you approve for it can be seen by anyone. Photos you upload are stored at web addresses that are hard to guess but aren’t password-protected, because they’re meant to appear on your website. Please don’t upload photos you wouldn’t want made public.

Visitors to our clients' websites

We host websites for the businesses we work with. If you contact one of those businesses through their website, for example with a quote request, that business decides how your information is used and its privacy policy applies. We handle that information only to run the website for them.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as we need to follow up. If you don’t become a client, we delete them on request, or within two years at the latest.
  • Account and website information: for as long as you’re a client, then within 90 days after your plan ends. If you ask, we’ll send you a copy of your website and content first.
  • Billing records: for as long as tax law requires.

Keeping it safe

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit who on our team can access your information, and choose service providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts you at real risk of significant harm, we’ll tell you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • see the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that’s wrong;
  • delete your information, unless we must keep it by law; or
  • stop using your information for something you agreed to. This may mean we can no longer provide part of the Service.

Email us at hello@snaplive.co and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not happy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

Snaplive is a service for businesses. It isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll change the date at the top, and if the change is significant, we’ll let clients know by email or in the app before it takes effect.
